“The grant allowed me to buy a rolling mill that was otherwise too expensive for me to buy, I was then able to melt down scrap silver that I would have had sitting around.
It allowed me to feel more comfortable with making mistakes because I knew I could just melt down the silver and use it in what ever way I chose to. Giving me a sense of relief and allowing me to mess with the metal and what can be created with it.
I was able to teach a few people about melting silver and how it works as well as teaching them how to roll out their ingot/ metal and understanding the process of making something from scratch.”
